2004
We will advance southwards, further south of the
American continent. On a voyage of approximately 550 km,
crossing Tierra del Fuego and going on beyond
the Beagle Canal, arriving at South latitude
never achieved before in an expedition race of this kind.

The teams will be transported from the city of
Punta Arenas by the Race organization to the Starting point,
this location will be kept secret until the day before the
official beginning of the race. The finishing line will be on
Navarino Island, very near to Puerto Williams, the southernmost
inhabited island of the world.
The PATAGONIA EXPEDITION RACE
will be like a voyage, none of Checkpoints will be repeated and
there will be no going back. The teams will advance day and
night, traveling through a great variety of climates and
landscapes. Crossing over extensive steppe plains, the planet’s
southernmost forests, lakes, rivers, channels and the southern
end of the Andes mountain range, Darwin’s singular mountain
range.
Limited places available and restricted to teams
with suitable experience.
